The Balance T-Shirt was part of my final projects at university. I took the opportunity at uni to put a lot of time and effort into the production. I spent a long time finding garments, experimenting with sizes and developing the design.

When I made this t-shirt, I was really struggling with anxiety. I was also having a very tough time handling my emotions properly. It was effecting my friends and my family because I wasn’t handling my emotions in a responsible way.

The design of the t-shirt was to express this. I used masking as a way to handle my feelings, learning to push through social situations I found hard and then express my emotions in a calm and respectful way.
